2013, and the first year of The Pot-Luck, has come to a close. There were ups, downs, and wayward journeys, yet here we are at the start of a new year.

Thank you readers for joining me and the other writers on this journey. I wasn’t quite sure where this project would end up, but I couldn’t be happier with where we’re at. I hope you’ve all enjoyed it as much as I have.

More thanks go out to all of the writers in 2013. You’ve all done a masterful job sharing your thoughts, and I’m extremely grateful that you chose to spend your time and energy on this project. Some of you are continuing on in 2014, but for those whose journey has come to an end, you’ll always be a part of The Pot-Luck, and you’ll always be welcome back.

With all the positive things going on here, I didn’t want to mess with success too much, but there will be a few changes in 2014.

First, there will be some new writers. You’ll be introduced to them in the coming days, and I can’t wait for you to meet them.

Second, we’ll be switching from 7 days a week to 5 days a week. This should give everyone a chance to “catch up” on weekends and read through anything they missed during the week.

Updates to the site design will be coming in the near future as well, and there will be some surprises throughout the year. One thing won’t change, though. You’ll still be reading interesting thoughts by interesting people.

2013 was the year we got started, but 2014 will be the best year yet. Happy New Year!
